It was now the 22 century , 2212 to be exact and Earth had nearly mastered its solar system. We had several space stations around earth and various moons. They had yet to colonize , but they had mastered mining the moons and astroids. That was possible through robots and drones able to with stand the climate, Terra Form Inc was however leading the way in planetary terra forming, and mars was in a 30 year process. Earth was truly at its heights, wars had ended and each nation space fleet was turned to exploration. They never needed them for there was never an alien invasion.
Deep in space on the Solar Horizan captain Vega headed a mining crew collecting valuable minerals and was not due back home for several months. While out here at the distance of Pluto , they would test a new comm systems that sent signals through sub space. It would be an instant message from Earth to Pluto.
This is Earth Comm One ready, we are sending the signal. Solar horizoan, copy that.
The Signal

Earth Comm One: [Crackling over comms] Solar Horizon, this is Earth Comm One. Ready to initiate subspace test. Do you copy? Over.

Captain Vega (Solar Horizon): Copy, Earth Comm One. We’re at optimal distance. Instruments are calibrated, and the crew is standing by. Over.

Earth Comm One: Acknowledged, Solar Horizon. We’re coordinating with the ISS. This is a simultaneous systems test—signal will pass through both nodes. Expect a slight delay in response while data syncs. Over.

Vega: Understood, Earth Comm One. Let’s hope Terra Form’s funding was worth it. Over.

Earth Comm One: That’s the spirit, Captain. Stand by for transmission in T-minus thirty seconds.

Dr. Elara (ISS): [Speaking internally to ISS crew] Commander, all systems are green here. Subspace relay is ready.

Commander Rhodes (ISS): Good. Let’s hope this goes smoothly. The last thing we need is another failure; the engineers will never let us live it down.
The Signal's Promise

Earth Comm One: [Crackling over comms] Solar Horizon, this is Earth Comm One. Subspace test commencing in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1… signal initiated.

Captain Vega (Solar Horizon): [Watching his console] Receiving signal, Earth Comm One. It’s clear as crystal. No delays, no degradation. Over.

Earth Comm One: [Relieved laughter] That’s what we like to hear, Solar Horizon. Signal integrity is holding steady on our end too. Over.

Commander Rhodes (ISS): [Chiming in from ISS] Confirming here as well. Subspace relay shows 100% efficiency. This is… remarkable.

Vega: It’s more than remarkable. This will change everything. Earth Comm One, congratulations. You’ve done what no one thought was possible.

Earth Comm One: Thank you, Solar Horizon. Couldn’t have done it without all of you as well. This is a proud day for humanity.

Dr. Elara (ISS): [Excitedly to Rhodes] Commander, do you realize what this means? Instant communication across the solar system. No more delays for colony missions or mining operations. I think this means we can have live video feeds to loved ones, it won't be so lonely out here anymore.

Rhodes: I realize it, Dr. Elara. And for once, a project works without anything catching fire or exploding.

Elara: Yet.

Rhodes: Don’t jinx it. What do you mean yet. it was a joke. When have we blown up something. Screwed things up yeah, but blow it up, nah...

Vega: [Chuckling] Earth Comm One, Solar Horizon is finishing up its mining ops and prepping for the return trip. We’ll be bringing back enough raw materials to keep Terra Form Inc. and half the planet’s industries running for years. Over.

Earth Comm One: Copy that, Solar Horizon. We’ll have a hero’s welcome waiting for you. Safe travels home. Over.

Vega: Appreciate it, Earth Comm One. You might want to save some of the champagne for yourselves after this milestone. Over.

Earth Comm One: Oh, we plan to, Captain. Over.
Vega: Yeah, make sure you video feed that live, so I can watch you drink it. It might just quench my thirst.

Dr. Kamari (Solar Horizon): [Quietly to Vega] Captain, I’ve got to admit, I didn’t think it would work. Subspace has always been unpredictable in simulations.

Vega: [Nods, still studying the monitors] Neither did I. But today, Kamari, we’re witnessing history. You don’t see that every day.

Kamari: And we’re heading home to be a part of it. I can't wait to get there.

Rhodes (ISS): [Breaking in over comms] Solar Horizon, I assume you’ll pass by us on your way back?

Vega: That’s the plan, Commander. Thought we’d tip our hats as we sail by. Maybe even share some of this excitement.

Rhodes: You’d better. It’s not every day we get to celebrate a win like this.


Elara: [Grinning] Commander, we could use it. Feels like all we’ve been doing is patching leaks and running diagnostics for months.

Vega: Then get ready to raise a glass, ISS. You’ve earned it as much as anyone.

Kamari: [Softly] It feels… hopeful, doesn’t it? Like we’re finally hitting our stride as a species. You know out here in the deep, all alone, shit go hay wire..They got it easy so close to home. I don't give a shit how fast the signal is, we are still way the fuck out here.

Vega: [Looking out the viewport at the vastness of space] It does. Out here, surrounded by all this emptiness, it’s easy to forget how far we’ve come. This test… it’s proof we’re capable of so much more.

Earth Comm One: [Interrupting] Solar Horizon, ISS, this is Earth Comm One. We’ll maintain open comms for the next 24 hours to monitor subspace stability. Let us know if you encounter anything unusual. Over.

Vega: Acknowledged, Earth Comm One. Nothing unusual on our end. Everything’s calm for now. Over.

Rhodes: Same here. ISS systems are quiet as a graveyard. Over.
We can now communicate with outside vessels in real time thanks to subspace signaling. Now when earth is on the other side of the Sun there will be a dark period, We haven't worked out interference cause by the sun, so on your return , there will be 3 month dark dark period depending on your angle of approach. Captain, you all have a safe return.
Earth Comm One: Good to hear. Congratulations again, all of you. We’ve got a bright future ahead. Earth Comm One out. The signal was terminated.
The comms fall silent, leaving the crews to revel in the triumph of the moment. The vast void seems a little smaller, a little more connected. For now, everything feels… right.
The Singularity's Shadow

Scene: ISS Control Room

Alarms blared through the ISS as the crew scrambled to make sense of the bizarre readings flooding their consoles.

Dr. Elara: Commander, I’ve got strange gravitational wave patterns coming from near the subspace relay. The readings are… [pauses, squinting at her screen] they’re erratic.

Commander Rhodes: [Tight-lipped] What kind of readings, Doctor?

Elara: [Turning to him]Sir! I'm not sure. It looks like a singularity.

Rhodes: A singularity? What! Are you saying we’re detecting a black hole?

Dr. Mitra: [Interrupting from across the room] The gravitational waves match what we know about black holes, but… it doesn’t make sense. We’d be crushed already if one were forming nearby. Maybe a worm hole of some sort, were not sure

Rhodes: Then what’s your theory, Mitra? You’ve got two seconds before I assume you’re stalling.

Mitra: [Stammering] I—I think it’s coming from subspace.

Elara: [Nodding quickly] That would explain the erratic wave patterns and why we’re not feeling the gravitational pull directly.

Rhodes: Subspace? Are you suggesting this is connected to the comm test?

Mitra: No, sir. The data doesn’t match our signal. This is… something else entirely.

Elara: Commander, additional wave patterns are coming in. The anomaly’s forming near the relay.

Rhodes: [Gripping the edge of his console] Keep monitoring. Let’s get Earth Comm One to confirm.

Scene: Earth Comm One, patched into ISS

Earth Comm One: ISS, this is Earth Comm One. We’re seeing the same anomaly. Redirecting Earth Watch One to provide visual confirmation.

Elara: [Relieved] Thank you, Earth Comm One. We’re turning all instruments toward the phenomenon. under her breath she whispered, You don't suppose some one else heard our signal.

Earth Comm One: Stand by for visuals on your main screen.

The ISS crew fell silent as the main screen flickered to life, revealing a glowing red orb in the void of space. Slowly, it expanded, transforming into a fiery ring with a pitch-black center.

Rhodes: [Voice low] What the hell is that? Sir , it looks like a portal, opening up....

Pilot Graves: [Leaning closer] It looks… somethings moving. Look, Look , see, its moving.

Mitra: Sir, something’s emerging. It’s… metallic?

Elara: No, it’s not metal. Look at the way it’s moving—like it’s… organic. It looks alive. Holy shit, what the fuck is it?

The room tensed as a massive claw-like structure latched onto the fiery ring. The “metal” clamps shifted, revealing themselves to be the talons of an immense dragon-like creature. Its head emerged, dwarfing even Earth itself.

Graves: [Whispering] That’s… impossible.

Rhodes: [Snapping out of his shock] Focus, everyone! What’s it doing?

Elara: [Eyes wide] It’s reaching… it’s reaching for Earth.

Scene: Chaos Unfolds

The crew watched in horror as the dragon-like beast clawed at Earth, enveloping it in its grasp.The beast used two claws to grip both poles, holding the earth in suspension. In one swift motion, it swallowed the planet whole and retreated back into the black hole.

Graves: [Panicking] Earth’s gone! It's just…it's just it’s Just gone! It can't be real, it can't be real. It can't be real, It can't be real. It can't be real,,, (he shivered in tears) Its gone.Earth's gone it cant be real its gone ,,, earth is gone (crying uncontrollable) .."

Rhodes: [Shouting] Graves ! Graves! Graves, pull yourself together! Elara, status report!

Elara: [Voice trembling] Mars is destabilizing. The gravitational shift—it’s dragging Mars closer to the sun. But we 've got bigger problems....sis sis sir ...

Mitra: Commander, the ISS… we’re being flung out of orbit!

The station shook violently, sending unsecured items flying across the room. Warning lights flickered as systems struggled to cope with the sudden forces.

Graves: [Strapping into his seat] I’ll try to stabilize us, but—

Before Graves could finish, a sudden, powerful jolt rocked the station. The viewport shattered, and he was pulled toward the breach.

Rhodes: [Screaming] Graves! Hold on!

Graves: [Clawing at the console] Can’t… [With a final scream, he was sucked into the void.]

Scene: Aftermath

The remaining crew, battered and shaken, worked frantically to seal the breach. The alarms quieted, leaving an eerie silence punctuated only by the hum of the station’s life support.

Elara: [Whispering, tears streaking her face] He’s gone. I can't believ it , earths gone, graves is gone, (crying frantically) I cant believe it.

Rhodes: [Grimly] We don’t have time to grieve. Mitra, what’s our trajectory?

Mitra: [Typing furiously] We’re on a collision course with Mars, Commander.

Rhodes: Can we correct it?

Elara: [Shaking her head] Not without external repairs, and the suits are offline.

Rhodes: [Clenching his jaw] Then we make contact with the Solar Horizon. They’re our only hope now.

The commander’s voice carried a mix of desperation and resolve as he activated the comms, knowing they were running out of time.

Rhodes: Solar Horizon, this is Commander Rhodes of the ISS. We’ve got a situation. Please respond....
The Silence Beyond Jupiter

Scene: Solar Horizon, Passing Uranus

The mining vessel cruised at maximum velocity, its engines humming steadily as it hurtled toward the inner solar system.

Captain Vega: [Seated in the command chair, watching the vastness of space pass by] We’re making good time. Should be past Jupiter soon. Kamari, what’s our ETA?

Dr. Kamari: [From the science console] At this rate, we’ll be within Jupiter’s orbit in 48 hours, Captain.

First Officer Morales: [Leaning back in his chair] Can’t wait to get home, sir. Feels like we’ve been out here forever.

Vega: You’re not the only one, Morales. The first thing I’m doing when we dock is getting a real meal. No more of this rehydrated sludge.

Kamari: [Chuckling] You mean you don’t love powdered steak and vacuum-sealed potatoes?

Morales: [Grinning] I’d rather chew on the hull.

Vega: [Smirking] Alright, enough dreaming about Earth cuisine. Morales, see if you can get a line to Earth. Let’s check in.

Morales: Aye, sir.

Morales began tuning the comms, adjusting the signal to Earth’s expected position.

Morales: Hailing Earth Comm One… This is Solar Horizon. Do you copy?

The bridge fell silent as static crackled through the speakers.

Vega: Nothing?

Morales: No, sir. I believe they’re on the other side of the sun. They warned us about this—should be a dark period for comms.

Kamari: [Looking up from her console] Makes sense. We won’t be able to establish contact until Earth clears the sun’s shadow.

Vega: How long are we talking?

Morales: A month, maybe more. We can try again once we pass Jupiter.

Vega: [Nods, leaning back] Fine. Keep monitoring just in case. I don’t like being out of touch for that long.

Scene: Approaching Jupiter

The massive gas giant loomed ahead, its swirling storms dominating the viewscreen.

Morales: [Awestruck] You never get used to it, do you?

Kamari: [Smiling] Jupiter? No. It’s like staring at a living painting.

Vega: [Calmly] It’s beautiful, but keep your focus. Morales, how’s our trajectory?

Morales: Smooth as silk, Captain. We’ll slingshot past her and shave a few days off our trip home.

Kamari: [Scanning her console] Sir, I’m picking up some faint gravitational anomalies.

Vega: [Frowning] Anomalies? Elaborate.

Kamari: They’re minor, nothing to worry about—just fluctuations in Jupiter’s field. Could be from its moons or leftover debris.

Vega: Keep an eye on it anyway. I don’t want surprises this close to a slingshot.

Morales: [Grinning] Relax, Captain. Jupiter’s been doing this dance for billions of years. We’re just hitching a ride.

Vega: [With a wry smile] And I’d like to make it home in one piece, Morales. So let’s stay sharp.

Kamari: [Looking up suddenly] Captain, I think I just picked up something strange.

Vega: [Turning to her] Strange how?

Kamari: It’s faint, but there’s a wave pattern—a distortion in the fabric of space-time.

Morales: [Sarcastic] Oh great, space ghosts now?

Kamari: [Ignoring him] It’s similar to gravitational waves, but… different.

Vega: Could it be from the anomaly near the ISS? They mentioned subspace distortions.

Kamari: [Puzzled] It doesn’t match what we saw during the subspace comms test. This is… stronger.

Vega: [Eyes narrowing] Morales, try Earth again. I don’t care if it’s supposed to be a dark period.

Morales: Aye, sir.

He keyed in the comms, but the static was deafening.

Morales: Still nothing.

Kamari: [Quietly] Captain, something’s wrong.

Vega: [Grimly] I feel it too. All stations, double-check systems. I want every sensor scanning for anything unusual. If Earth’s silent, there’s a reason—and I don’t like what that reason might be.

The crew of the Solar Horizon prepared for the unknown, their lighthearted banter replaced by a tense silence as the vast, swirling storms of Jupiter loomed closer.

The Slingshot to Mars

Scene: Solar Horizon, Approaching Jupiter

The immense gas giant dominated the viewscreen, its vibrant storms swirling in hues of red, orange, and white. The ship’s engines hummed steadily as the crew prepared for the critical maneuver.

Captain Vega: [Standing in front of the main console] Kamari, give me a status update on our approach vector.

Dr. Kamari: [Analyzing her console] We’re on a perfect trajectory for the slingshot, Captain. Velocity is holding at 62 kilometers per second. We’ll hit our closest approach in ten minutes.

First Officer Morales: [Seated at the navigation station] Calculating optimal ejection angle now. We’ll aim for a 14-degree shift toward Mars’ orbital plane.

Vega: Good. I don’t want any mistakes. This maneuver has to be precise. One miscalculation and we’re either skimming Jupiter’s atmosphere or careening into the asteroid belt.

Kamari: [With a wry smile] No pressure, right?

Vega: [Smirking slightly] Exactly.

Scene: The Slingshot Maneuver

The Solar Horizon tilted slightly as its thrusters made minute adjustments. The ship was now flying into the grip of Jupiter’s massive gravity well, the planet’s immense bulk filling the viewscreen.

Kamari: Gravity assist is engaging. The ship’s velocity will increase by another 20 kilometers per second as we slingshot around.

Morales: [Grinning] Using Jupiter as a cosmic slingshot never gets old.

Vega: [Firmly] Don’t get too comfortable. Focus on your calculations. The window for our ejection burn is less than ten seconds.

The ship shook slightly as it grazed Jupiter’s magnetosphere, the immense magnetic field creating small distortions in the ship’s instruments.

Kamari: Magnetosphere interference detected, but nothing critical.

Morales: Adjusting for drift… aligning with ejection vector now.

Vega: Engines to full standby. Prepare for burn in three… two… one…

The Solar Horizon’s engines roared to life, firing at full capacity to propel the ship out of Jupiter’s gravity well and onto a new trajectory toward Mars.

Kamari: Burn complete. Velocity is now 82 kilometers per second. We’re on a clean trajectory to Mars.

Vega: Well done, team. Let’s chart the course through the asteroid belt.

Scene: Navigating the Asteroid Belt

The Solar Horizon approached the dense region of space between Jupiter and Mars. The asteroid belt loomed ahead, a chaotic sea of tumbling rocks and icy debris.

Morales: [Zooming in on the navigation display] Mapping the largest objects now. Looks like there’s a cluster of high-density asteroids on our path. We’ll need to make some adjustments.

Vega: Kamari, what’s our collision probability?

Kamari: At current trajectory, it’s 12%. If we adjust by 0.5 degrees starboard, we can lower it to under 3%.

Vega: Morales, make the adjustment. I want our trajectory as clean as possible.

Morales: Aye, Captain. Adjusting course… Done.

Kamari: Scanning smaller debris. We’ll need the deflector shields at full power once we’re deeper in.

Vega: Shields to maximum. If anything gets through, even a pebble could rip through the hull at this velocity.

The ship weaved gracefully through the asteroid field, its automated systems tracking and evading smaller debris while the crew monitored the larger threats.

Scene: Mars’ Strange Position

As the Solar Horizon exited the asteroid belt, Mars came into view—or where Mars should have been.

Kamari: [Frowning at her console] Captain, something’s not right.

Vega: [Tensing] What is it?

Kamari: Mars isn’t where it should be. Its orbital coordinates are… off by nearly 0.02 AU.

Morales: [Turning to face her] That’s impossible. Mars has been in a stable orbit for eons.

Kamari: [Shaking her head] Not anymore. Its trajectory is deviating toward the sun.

Vega: [Leaning over Kamari’s console] What could cause that? A collision? A gravitational anomaly?

Kamari: No evidence of impact. If I had to guess, it’s related to the subspace anomaly near Earth. Whatever happened there has disrupted the entire solar system. Now I Understand we detected a glimpse of it earlier.

Morales: [Grimly] If Mars is shifting orbit, what’s to say it won’t keep moving? And what about Earth is it moving?

Kamari: That’s the problem—it might not stabilize. And if it moves too close to Earth or the sun…

Vega: [Cutting in] One problem at a time. Morales, adjust our approach. Kamari, keep monitoring Mars’ trajectory. I want a full analysis of its orbital drift.

Kamari: Aye, Captain.

Vega: [Quietly, to herself] What the hell is going on?
Vega: wait what about earth how would this effect Earth's orbit if mars got closer?
Kamari: I'm not sure sir. some models would suggest it pushed Earth closer. I'm not a planetary scientist, so I'm not quite sure. I can run some simulations, but if so wouldnt that warm the Earth."
Vega: have Earth cleared the other side of the sun, send traditional comms, try to contact ISS...
Morales: sir, I located a signal from ISS my readings suggest its coming from....
a silent pause ...
Vega: Coming from where?
Morales: It seems the ISS is approaching Mars , its between Earth and Mars.

As the Solar Horizon pressed onward, the crew worked frantically to make sense of the anomalies they were encountering. Unbeknownst to them, the true danger lay ahead, waiting in the shadow of Mars.
Commander Rhodes (ISS): [Static crackles] Solar Horizon, this is Commander Rhodes of the ISS. Do you copy? Over.

Captain Vega (Solar Horizon): [A tense pause, then an abrupt response] Commander Rhodes, this is Captain Vega. What in all the stars are you doing spiraling toward Mars? And why is Mars—out of orbit?! Over.

Rhodes: It’s… it’s a long story. What did you say, Mars is out of orbit. We’re barely holding it together up here. Is the Horizon stable? Over.

Vega: Stable enough, but my crew is unnerved. We just came out of deep-space mining ops to find Mars where it shouldn’t be—and your station pirouetting like a mad ballerina. What the hell happened? Over.

Rhodes: [Deep breath] Captain, it’s… Earth. Earth is gone.

Vega: [Silence. Then sharp] Gone? You better explain that, Commander.

Rhodes: When we were testing the new subspace comms array… we punched a signal through hyperspace back to ground control. But something went wrong—horribly wrong. We opened a… I don’t even know what to call it—a black hole. It came out of subspace, swallowed the Earth whole, and catapulted us out of orbit like a slingshot.

Vega: [Disbelieving] You’re telling me… Earth is just gone? Billions of people, the oceans, the cities—everything?

Rhodes: Yes, Captain. I watched it happen. One moment, there was Earth—a brilliant blue against the void—and the next, nothing. Just this black sphere, growing, devouring… and then… silence.

Vega: [Under his breath] Stars help us…

Dr. Elara (ISS, cutting in): Commander, we’re drifting closer to Mars. At this rate, we’ll be pulled into its gravity well in less than 48 hours.

Rhodes: I know, Dr. Elara. One crisis at a time.

Vega: You’re headed toward Mars? Why?

Rhodes: We’re not headed anywhere intentionally, Captain. Whatever force ejected us sent us on a trajectory we can’t correct. The station’s thrusters aren’t built for this kind of navigation.

Vega: [Tense] This doesn’t make sense. How does a black hole just open in subspace? That’s not how they work!

Rhodes: We don’t know. Dr. Elara thinks—

Elara: [Interrupting] I don’t think; I know. The subspace test breached a dimensional boundary. We didn’t just create a signal—we tore through space-time. The black hole wasn’t natural. It was… summoned.

Vega: [Voice rising] Summoned?! Are you saying you called a black hole into existence? get the fuck out of here , I need some solid concrete answers, Im not accepting Earth is Gone.

Rhodes: [Firmly] Enough, Captain! We’re not scientists on a chat show; this is survival.

Vega: Survival? You’ve doomed the entire Solar System! Mars is drifting because of Earth’s disappearance, and we don’t even know how this ripple will affect the rest of the planets. Were just fucking doomed.

Rhodes: And yelling at us fixes nothing. Can you intercept us?

Vega: [Sighs heavily] My engineers are running calculations now. We can plot a rescue trajectory, but Mars’s instability is a nightmare for navigation.

Elara: Commander, we might not survive the descent into Mars’s atmosphere.

Rhodes: We’ll make it work. Captain Vega, can you—

Vega: [Cutting in] Commander Rhodes, I’ll be honest: I don’t know how much faith I have in your station or your explanations. But if there are lives to save, we’ll try.

Rhodes: That’s all we can ask.

Vega: [Somber] You better pray we’re fast enough, Commander. Because if what you’ve told me is true… Earth may not be the only casualty.

The comms crackle with an ominous finality as both crews prepare for a desperate rescue—against a backdrop of celestial chaos.
A New Home in the Stars

The Solar Horizon approached the International Space Station, now a drifting relic of Earth’s glory. The station spun slowly, its orbit decaying as it hurtled toward Mars. Inside, its remaining crew clung to hope as the Horizon prepared for an unprecedented rescue mission.

Scene: Solar Horizon, Command Deck

Captain Vega: [Over comms] ISS, this is Captain Vega of the Solar Horizon. We’re in position and ready to initiate docking procedures. Hold tight.

Commander Ruiz: [Responding from ISS] Copy that, Solar Horizon. We’re in stable rotation for now, but supplies are running thin. How soon can you begin extraction?

Vega: Extraction is imminent. Stand by. Morales, status on docking alignment?

First Officer Morales: [Adjusting controls] We’re matching the station’s spin. Docking will be tricky, but within tolerance. Tractor beam is online and calibrated for gentle stabilization.

Dr. Kamari: [Monitoring sensors] Captain, the ISS hull integrity is at 73%. It won’t withstand too much force.

Vega: [Nods] Understood. Let’s do this clean and fast.

Scene: ISS Airlock

The docking clamps latched onto the ISS with a dull thud, the pressurization sequence initiating. A loud hiss filled the corridor as the Solar Horizon’s crew entered the station.

Morales: [Removing his helmet] Commander Ruiz, good to see you’re still in one piece.

Ruiz: [Shaking hands firmly] Barely. The station’s systems are hanging by a thread. We’ve had to shut down external repairs since the singularity incident.

Kamari: [Inspecting a console] The ISS’s trajectory is deteriorating faster than expected. If we don’t act, you’ll crash into Mars’ atmosphere in less than three days.

Ruiz: [Grimacing] Then let’s not waste time.

Scene: Solar Horizon Command Deck, Post-Evacuation

The last of the ISS crew was safely aboard the Horizon. Onscreen, the ISS floated silently, a monument to human ingenuity—and a reminder of Earth’s sudden demise.
